Ballwin Golf Club Events Center
MLGA schedules days throughout the season for "Events". These days and activities are intended to provide: some fun deviation from standard League Play; opportunities for members to get to know other players in the League; chances for individual members to win prizes. Some Events require a "Shot Gun Start" (all participating golfers must arrive for a predetermined start time and must use a golf cart). Generally the scores from these events, do not count toward the player's Handicap.
Members of the League are encouraged to participate in these scheduled events, however, it is NOT mandatory. Players who choose NOT to take part, may play a regular round of golf (with another member) at the same time as the event, if applicable (see below).
"3 Clubs & a Putter" and "Pink Ball": Golfers may opt out of any of these events and play a regular round of golf. Score Cards MUST indicate "non-participation" so that the players score is not included when determining prize winners.
"2 Person Scramble", "Ballwin Cup", "Step Aside Scramble": these are all "Shot Gun Start" events. No non-participating players during these events.
Some games/tournaments scores will count for handicap purposes because the scores for each player are "actual". See under each
"event" if the scores count or not.
